The brand is named after Soraya Tarzi, an influential woman in the nineteenth century who was the queen of Afghanistan and a champion for women's rights and education in a time when women were seen as minorities. Founder Manizha Nabizada, who herself overcame the challenges of fleeing war-torn Afghanistan as a young girl, built QueenTarzi from the ground up. She is driven by love and gratitude, with her love for the Netherlands and embracing her own identity being the driving force behind everything she does. QueenTarzi's philosophy is all about love and freedom. We pour our love into our iconic products to make you feel like the QUEEN you are, as love cannot be manufactured. Our brand stands out from others as we value giving back to society and promoting love for animals, empowerment for individuals, equality, and freedom of expression. In addition to our products, QueenTarzi also organizes events and gatherings for women. Our non-profit organization, Stichting QueenTarzi & friends, focuses on giving back to society by building wells in Afghanistan and supporting refugees and war victims.
