As the State of California began testing for smog emissions in the 1970s, QuickCheckSmog expanded its services to include auto-repair and smog testing.

Over the years, the business grew further, obtaining a car dealer's license and suspending gas sales to focus solely on smog testing and the U-Haul business. In 2006, Jeryl and Ron Quirk, Jerry's daughter and son-in-law, took over the Vista Truck Rental and Smog Shop, ensuring the continuation of the family legacy. With two generations of Vista High School graduates and a deep-rooted connection to the local community, QuickCheckSmog embodies the small-town tradition of friendly, honest, and caring service.
