## Description

QuickDraw of WNC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2001 to support art education in Haywood County, North Carolina. It raises funds for classroom art supplies and scholarships for local students pursuing art-related fields, including art education, design, and media. Its annual benefit event is the organization’s primary fundraiser, generating more than 85% of the budget for art supplies in Haywood County classrooms. Since its founding, QuickDraw reports funding $255,000 for local art education, including $149,000 for classroom supplies and $106,000 in scholarships for 79 high school seniors.

The event brings together artists, supporters, and buyers for live art-making, an auction, and dinner. Participating artists create original works during a 75-minute quickdraw, while others demonstrate process-intensive media. Auction offerings can include fine art, crafts, wine, golf, and sculpture. QuickDraw also invites community members to donate, sponsor artists or event components, volunteer, and contribute items for teachers. Through these activities, the organization helps schools replenish supplies and sustain creative learning opportunities for students.
