## Description

Race for Aftercare is an organization focused on supporting retired Thoroughbreds and giving them a safe, caring future after their racing careers. Its mission is to rescue horses facing neglect or abuse and help retire racehorses that can no longer continue an equine career. The organization identifies and takes in Thoroughbreds in need, provides immediate care and rehabilitation, and offers a loving sanctuary where they can live comfortably. It also works to educate the public about the challenges retired racehorses face and encourage responsible ownership and care.

Race for Aftercare invites supporters to contribute through donations and other opportunities, including Kroger Rewards. It raises awareness and funds through community events such as golf scrambles, casino nights, fashion shows, and the Kentucky HBPA Golf Event. The website also features stories and videos highlighting people involved in aftercare, along with photos, event information, and a shop. Through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and fundraising, Race for Aftercare works to provide Thoroughbreds with a second chance beyond the track.
