## Description

The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is a premier cycling event held annually in Victoria, Australia. Celebrated for its stunning coastal scenery, this event features a range of competitive races, including the Elite Men’s and Women’s Road Races, alongside the inclusive TAC People’s Ride. Launched in 2015, the race quickly gained acclaim and became part of Australia’s cycling heritage, notably marking the final professional race of iconic cyclist Cadel Evans. The event champions both professional cycling and community participation, accommodating riders of all ages and abilities with courses of 59km and 124km, as well as a Family Ride designed to instill a love for cycling in younger generations.

Recognized on the UCI WorldTour calendar, both the elite men and women’s races offer equal prize money, underscoring the commitment to gender equality in sports. Supported by the Victorian Government, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race not only enhances regional tourism and economy but also promotes road safety and healthy living in the community.
