## Description

The Rochester Area Community Foundation connects donors and community partners with the needs of the Greater Rochester region, using philanthropy to help build a stronger, more equitable, and vital community. Founded in 1972, the Foundation serves an eight-county area and combines financial expertise with local knowledge to help gifts make meaningful, lasting impact. Donors can give through existing opportunities or create a charitable fund tailored to their goals, including gifts through estate plans. The Foundation also works with professional advisors and offers collective giving programs and county endowments. Its grantmaking supports community initiatives and organizations, with grant opportunities and application resources available through its grant portal. The Foundation provides scholarships and helps students find relevant awards, while its impact work addresses issues including green spaces, racial equity, arts access, historic preservation, and children’s opportunities. Donors can access fund information through an online portal, and the organization publishes investment results, policies, fees, and financial and legal information.
