## Description

The Rachel Swart Fund is a charitable organisation dedicated to helping people with disabilities. It supports individuals whose mobility needs affect their independence, work, and daily lives, with a particular focus on providing wheelchairs and practical assistance. One example is teacher Florian Da Silva, who received a motorised wheelchair to help him move between classes without becoming exhausted.

The fund raises support through donations and community fundraising, including participation in the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon. Its runners seek contributions through campaigns such as GivenGain, helping turn sporting events into funding for people who need mobility equipment. The organisation also shares stories about beneficiaries, supporters, and fundraising activities to show the difference that donations can make. Its website provides information about the fund’s history and namesake, how to apply, governance and compliance, its team and committee, donors and affiliates, rural programmes, news, and contact details. Through these programmes and community partnerships, the Rachel Swart Fund works to improve access to mobility and enable people with disabilities to participate more fully in their work and everyday lives.
