## Description

The Society of Amateur Radio Astronomers (SARA) is an organization dedicated to radio astronomy, bringing together people interested in exploring the universe through radio observations. Its mission is supported by educational resources, collaborative projects, publications, conferences, and opportunities for members to share knowledge and practical experience.

SARA helps newcomers learn through its Introduction to Radio Astronomy and Getting Started guides, education links, and student and teacher project grants. Members can participate in projects including Radio Jove, RASDR, and SuperSID, and explore subject areas such as electronics and instrumentation, the solar system, stars, galaxies, and cosmology. The organization also publishes the SARA Journal, provides archives and submission guidance, and hosts a discussion forum through Google Groups.

SARA organizes Eastern and Western conferences, including events connected with observatories and radio astronomy research, as well as online participation opportunities. Its website offers membership information, affiliate resources, meeting details, project materials, videos, a photo gallery, and a store. Through these activities and resources, SARA supports learning, outreach, and amateur contributions to radio astronomy.
