## Description

Radio Peejenland is a community-focused carnival radio station based in Hoeven, the Netherlands, where the local celebration is known as D’oevese Carnaval or Peejenland. Describing itself as the country’s “only true leutzender,” the station brings the festivities to listeners through music, live broadcasts, reports and coverage of key carnival events. Its programming features round-the-clock carnival music during the season, presented by local DJs, alongside interviews, special shows and community visits.

Listeners can tune in live or catch up on broadcasts later, and the station also offers live video, an app and guidance for streaming through Sonos. Its website provides programme schedules, news, event information, photos and recordings, as well as the annual TOP 111 music countdown and the carnival quiz. Radio Peejenland also shares updates about local traditions, parades, performers and activities in Peejenland. By connecting residents and carnival-goers across generations, it helps the Hoeven community follow and celebrate the season wherever they are.
