## Description

Rainbow Pony Rides is a children’s charity established by the Honnywill Family Charitable Trust to give disadvantaged and seriously ill children aged 4 to 16 the opportunity to spend time with and ride a pony. Based at Kiln House Farm in Bough Beech, Kent, the charity offers visits in a relaxed countryside setting, tailored to each child’s needs.

Children can groom and pet the ponies, enjoy a ride in the outdoor sand school, or explore the farm’s woodland and fields. Beginners can try simple riding exercises, with every visit overseen by experienced coaches and volunteers. The specially selected ponies are known for their gentle, friendly temperaments. Rainbow Pony Rides is run by Sophie Honnywill, an experienced qualified Riding for the Disabled coach.

Visits cost £10, with proceeds supporting the charity’s activities; donations help fund pony care and provide more rides. The organisation also welcomes volunteers to assist with pony care and rides, fundraising, marketing, and connecting families with its services. Families must complete an application form before visiting.
