## Description

Rainbow Wedge, operated by RAINBOW WEDGE – trad pro s.r.o. in Brno, Czech Republic, develops equipment and training resources for climbers learning traditional protection techniques. Its featured product, WEDGE II from the Rainbow SAFE range, is an adjustable mechanical crack that allows climbers to practise placing removable protection devices in an indoor setting. The device is designed to help users prepare for climbing on natural rock, where protection may be placed in cracks, holes and other features, and can also be used to practise building safe climbing anchors.

WEDGE II is intended for climbers preparing for outdoor routes, climbing instructors and mountain guides, as well as indoor climbers seeking experience with traditional protection. The company stresses that practice involving independent protection placement requires appropriate safety instruction; beginners must remain protected by a top-rope system. Rainbow Wedge also provides information about classic protection, product use and training, alongside articles on climbing and the transition between indoor and outdoor practice.
