## Description

Rain Systems is a Los Angeles-based company focused on helping property owners reduce turf irrigation while maintaining healthy, green grass. Its service uses patented precision injection machines to place hydrogel into existing turf at root level, designed to keep the grass pristine during installation. The company says its technology can reduce water use by up to 50%.

Rain Systems’ hydrogels absorb and store water, then release it back to the turf as needed. After installation, customers water normally for two weeks while the hydrogel takes up moisture; the stored water can then help reduce the number of irrigation days. The materials are described as EPA-tested, non-toxic, environmentally safe, and 100% biodegradable, with effectiveness lasting up to three years.

The company also shares case studies and information about how its technology works. Its team includes co-founders Elaine R. Sibert, CEO, and Jim E. Sibert, CTO, along with agronomic consultant Paul Cushing and business development representative Shane Keough. Rain Systems is located at 525 S. Hewitt Street in Los Angeles.
