## Description

RaitdaipRun and the RaitdaipRunners are a community running and fitness group serving Sauwerd and the surrounding area. Their activities combine regular training with an annual running event that brings together participants, volunteers, and sponsors. The RaitdaipRun takes place on the first Saturday in April and features race distances of 5 kilometres, 10 kilometres, and 10 English miles, as well as a children’s run. Its route runs through the Reitdiepdal, and the event welcomes runners of different abilities.

Throughout the year, RaitdaipRunners offers weekly group sessions led by qualified trainers. Thursday evening running training meets at Sportpark De Lange Twee and focuses on fitness, strength, and running technique in a relaxed atmosphere. On Tuesdays, participants can join an outdoor bootcamp designed to build fitness and strength across ability levels. The group also starts a beginner running course in January, ahead of the annual event, for people seeking support as they take up running. Those interested can contact the organisers by email to learn more or arrange to join a session.
