## Description

RAMP is a non-profit organization dedicated to building an inclusive community that empowers individuals with disabilities to reach their full potential. As a non-residential Center for Independent Living (CIL), RAMP offers a range of services and programs designed to enrich the lives of those with disabilities. With a grassroots effort and a philosophy of meeting individuals where they are, RAMP provides support and guidance for people who have experienced traumatic or life-changing events. Whether it's a child recently diagnosed with a disability or an accident resulting in permanent disability, RAMP ensures that individuals and their families have the resources and assistance they need. What sets RAMP apart is that over 51% of their staff and board of directors are individuals with disabilities themselves. This peer-to-peer support plays a crucial role in the successful outcomes that RAMP produces. RAMP serves Boone, DeKalb, Stephenson, and Winnebago Counties, making it the only Center for Independent Living in the area. By offering adult services, employment services, youth services, mental health services, and more, RAMP strives to create a truly inclusive and supportive community for everyone.
