## Description

Rands in Repose is a brand that offers a range of services and products for writers and word enthusiasts. Their flagship software tool, Bear, is a crucial piece of software that is used by many on a daily basis. With an update that boasts a rewrite from the ground up, the brand aimed to address the concerns of loyal users who were worried about potential changes that could disrupt their workflow. To their relief, the update brought subtle and unobtrusive changes that maintained the familiarity and functionality of the tool. One notable improvement is the introduction of BearSansUI as the default font, offering a pleasing typography change. The brand also adhered to the CommonMark standard for Markdown, enhancing compatibility and providing a preference to hide markdown formatting for a distraction-free writing experience. Additionally, Bear 2 introduced a formatting toolbar with the capability to insert tables, although it remains to be seen how widely this feature will be utilized. Overall, Rands in Repose continues to demonstrate fine product judgment, making choices on behalf of users to allow them to focus on what matters most: writing. With seamless sync capabilities and additional themes, the brand caters to the needs and preferences of its loyal user base.
