## Description

The Randy Jones Foundation is a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for children, particularly those from military families. Founded about a decade ago, the organization carries forward Randy Jones’s belief that sports can build character, open doors, and change lives. Its programs combine athletics, mentorship, education, and memorable experiences for young people and their families.

The foundation awards multi-year youth athletic grants to military children who demonstrate both athletic promise and academic commitment. Grants help cover essential costs of participating in sports, and applicants are expected to maintain a 3.0 GPA. The program aims to support students as they develop and pursue college scholarship opportunities.

Families can also take part in VIP game-day experiences, including Padres games with batting-practice access, on-field opportunities, and barbecue meals. The foundation organizes VIP deep-sea fishing trips that bring military families together. In addition to these programs, it shares updates and stories through its website, newsletter, events, and media outreach.
