## Description

Ranj Singh is an award-winning Indo-Canadian folk and folk-rock artist, known for bringing Eastern rhythms and melodies together with Western pop and rock influences. He began performing with folk artists in the Vancouver area in the 1980s and later helped form Bhangra Rock group Dal Dil Vog, which toured North America and India and appeared on Much Music and MTV Asia. As a solo performer, Singh plays more than 300 shows a year, offering live music for events and venues. His sound pairs a distinctive voice with two alternate-tuned 12-string guitars, blending subtle Indian melodies, acoustic folk-rock, original songs and familiar covers. Singh has released three albums, including Found a Way Home and The Man Cold. His recordings feature original material alongside interpretations of songs such as “Hallelujah,” “Purple Rain” and “Fix You.” He also performs with his band, Ranj Singh and The Discriminators. Through his website, audiences can explore his music, read lyrics, find show information, and contact him about performances.
