## Description

Rare Foods Australia is an Australian producer of premium abalone, formerly known as Ocean Grown Abalone. Founded around developing innovative aquaculture methods, the company aims to balance business growth with environmental care and a consistent supply of high-quality seafood. It describes itself as the world’s only MSC-certified wild-enhanced fishery producing Greenlip Abalone.

Its Two Oceans brand includes Greenlip and Wild Roei Abalone. Greenlip Abalone begins in a land-based hatchery, then grows for three to four years on artificial reefs within a protected marine park in South West Australia, feeding on naturally drifting seaweed. Divers care for the abalone before harvesting and processing. Wild Roei Abalone is sourced from shallower reefs spanning Western Australia to South Australia; it is smaller and has a stronger taste, with natural variation in shape and colour.

Rare Foods Australia supplies its products to customers and collaborates with restaurants, chefs and other partners to support distinctive menus.
