## Description

Ratalma is the Radio Taxi Cooperative of Almada, established in 1978 by local entrepreneurs. Serving the municipalities of Almada and Seixal, it provides taxi transport around the clock, for both short and long journeys within Portugal and abroad. Its service area includes locations such as Cova da Piedade, Pragal, Cacilhas, Caparica, Trafaria, Sobreda, Costa da Caparica, Laranjeiro and Feijó.

The cooperative operates a fleet that includes standard four-passenger taxis, larger four-passenger vans and vehicles adapted for passengers with reduced mobility. Customers can request a taxi by phone, arrange a journey online for a chosen date and time, or use the Ratalma app for iOS and Android. The app supports bookings and cancellations, live vehicle tracking, real-time journey updates, and payment by cash or credit card. Ratalma highlights its professional drivers and staff, with a focus on prompt, efficient service. The cooperative also works with local organisations and institutions to support mobility solutions in the Almada and Seixal communities.
