## Description

The Raynor Cerebellum Project is a research-funding initiative focused on improving the lives of people affected by cerebellar dysfunction and disorders. Launched in 2022 by the Once Upon a Time Foundation, a private foundation based in Fort Worth, Texas, the project supports ambitious, interdisciplinary research designed to advance understanding and improve patient outcomes. Its approach prioritizes novel ideas that may be too unconventional or high-risk for traditional funding, and encourages collaboration among researchers, clinicians, institutions, and disciplines.

The project offers funding opportunities for research teams around the world, alongside policies and support for funded research and early-career scientists. It also organizes Cerebellum Summits, symposia, and other events to bring participants together, share expertise, and spark new research directions. The project reports 51 grants and pledges to date, totaling $43 million, and has committed to funding $50 million in research projects. It also plans to seek an additional $50 million through foundation commitments and outside partnerships.
