## Description

Reddingsbrigade Heythuysen is an independent lifesaving association based in Heythuysen, Limburg, and affiliated with Reddingsbrigade Nederland. Its mission is to help people enjoy the Netherlands’ waterways while preventing and combating drowning. The brigade works to achieve this by teaching people swimming and water-rescue skills, helping them learn to save themselves and others.

Alongside its water-safety and training activities, the association promotes Life Saving Sport, the sporting discipline connected to lifesaving work. It is active at regional, national and international levels and has many talented athletes. Members can take part in swimming sessions, training and competitions, with information available about lesson schedules, membership, competition registration and results. The club also provides guidance on outdoor training, clothing, equipment and its rules and policies.

Reddingsbrigade Heythuysen is supported by committees covering areas such as technical development, competitions, youth activities, examinations and events. The association also shares news, a calendar and contact information through its website, and welcomes enquiries from people interested in its activities.
