Description

RCAP, or the Rural Community Assistance Partnership, is a national network of nonprofit partners dedicated to improving the quality of life in rural America. With over 350 technical assistance providers across the country, RCAP focuses on providing accessible and affordable clean water and sanitation to all communities. They work closely with tribal and indigenous communities, advocating for their sovereignty over their programs.

In 2022 alone, RCAP served over 3. 5 million rural and tribal residents in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U. S.

Virgin Islands. Their team of Technical Assistance Providers (TAPs) live and work in the communities they serve, offering practical guidance and capacity-building expertise. They provide training on various areas such as water management, wastewater disposal, solid waste disposal, and economic development, equipping communities with the skills and knowledge to thrive.

RCAP also collaborates with partners and communities to generate economic opportunities for rural areas and ensure their long-term sustainability. They have regional partners across the country, each serving specific states and regions. With a dedication to rural voices, RCAP publishes rural matters magazines and conducts research to elevate the needs of rural communities.
