ReachOut is a national mentoring and education charity that operates in local communities, particularly in under-resourced areas. Our primary goal is to support young people in developing character and confidence, inspiring positive change within themselves and society as a whole. We achieve this through various programs and initiatives.

At ReachOut, we run after-school mentoring projects across London, Greater Manchester, and Liverpool, specifically catering to young individuals aged 9-19. Each participant in our projects is paired with a dedicated volunteer mentor who works with them on a weekly basis. Through mentoring and engaging group activities, these young people are empowered to grow in character and confidence.

Our focus is not solely on academic tutoring but on the development of essential character strengths such as Staying Power, Self-Control, Fairness, and Good Judgement. By sharpening these strengths, we aim to equip young people with the skills they need to make informed decisions and navigate challenges throughout their lives. With the support of schools and parents, we identify young people who can benefit the most from our interventions, bolstering their academic and social confidence.

We work in areas where youth face social and economic obstacles, providing them with tools, networks, and fresh horizons to overcome these barriers and create a positive impact on society. ReachOut also runs three types of projects, namely ReachOut Club, ReachOut Academy, and ReachOut+. Each project caters to different age groups, ensuring that young individuals receive the appropriate support and guidance during crucial stages of their education and transition into adulthood.
