## Description

READ Architecture & Design is a collaborative architecture studio focused on creating sustainable, culturally resonant contemporary spaces that respect and strengthen the historic context of their communities. Its approach begins with the existing building or site, bringing history into dialogue with contemporary design to reinvent, renovate, and revitalize places for the future.

The studio works across architecture, adaptive reuse, townhouses, cultural projects, residential and hospitality spaces, interior design, and flagship stores. Its services can include architectural development, renovation, design execution, construction coordination, and approvals. Projects range from the restoration of landmarked townhouses to new hospitality and restaurant environments. In Brooklyn Heights, READ completed a meticulous, two-year renovation of a 250-year-old Federal-style house, including reconstruction of its enclosed porch to restore its 1920s silhouette. The studio is also renovating a block of ten landmarked West Village townhouses and developing restaurant projects in Miami and Manhattan.

READ Architecture & Design has offices in Brooklyn, Miami, and Paris.
