## Description

Reading Australia is a not-for-profit initiative established by the Copyright Agency in 2013 aimed at fostering a love for Australian literature among teachers and students. The organization champions the rich literary heritage of Australia, offering resources that support English and literacy instructors in integrating diverse and meaningful texts into their classrooms.

Reading Australia features an expansive collection of 486 curated literary works across various genres, initially launched with a list of 200 titles and continuously updated based on expert selections. They provide 275 teaching resources tailored for all educational levels, crafted by leading educational associations, complete with curriculum alignment and classroom activities.

Additionally, the platform includes 100 insightful essays by prominent Australian writers, as well as podcasts featuring discussions with esteemed authors through "The Garret: Writers on Writing." With opportunities for teachers to register for free accounts, Reading Australia also shares a newsletter packed with updates and resources, making it a valuable hub for educators dedicated to bringing Australian stories into their teaching.
