## Description

The Reading FC Former Players' Association is an organization dedicated to honoring and reconnecting with the footballing legends who have graced the fields of Elm Park and Madejski Stadium over the past 145 years. With a membership of over 200 former players, this association represents the rich history of Reading Football Club. They strive to ensure that the efforts and contributions of these players are not forgotten. Led by Chairman George Friel and supported by a passionate board of members, the association organizes charity football matches, golf days, and sporting dinners to bring colleagues, players, and managers together. Their aim is to reunite the Reading FC family and provide social and welfare support to its members. As a non-profit organization, any surplus funds are donated to local charities connected to the association or the club. The Reading FC Former Players' Association is proud to have John Madejski, former chairman of Reading Football Club, as their Patron. With dedicated individuals like David Woolford, Richard Wickson, and Helen Waring on the board, the association continues to flourish. They also have a strong online presence, thanks to board member Jonathan Richards, who handles their social media activities. Join the Reading FC Former Players' Association and be a part of preserving the legacy of this historic club.
