## Description

Reallabor Burghausen – ChemDelta Bavaria gGmbH is a nonprofit organization established in 2021 to help transform Germany’s ChemDelta Bavaria region into a hydrogen economy. Founded under the leadership of the City of Burghausen and Altötting District, it brings together partners from industry and logistics, including Wacker Chemie, Linde, InfraServ Gendorf, Westlake Vinnolit, OMV Deutschland and DB Cargo BTT.

Its main initiative is the four-year H2-Reallabor Burghausen – ChemDelta Bavaria project, running from April 2023 to March 2027. In collaboration with 35 partners from industry and academia, the project develops and tests technologies for using hydrogen as both an energy source and a chemical feedstock. Its broader aim is to support a sustainable, climate-neutral transformation of the chemical industry and explore applications in other sectors, including logistics.

The organization coordinates research, industrial testing and the transfer of scientific results into practice. It also shares project updates and facilitates exchange among researchers, companies and public stakeholders. The planned Technikum Burghausen will provide research facilities for hydrogen, process engineering and chemistry.
