## Description

Reasons to be Cheerful is a nonprofit online magazine that aims to provide a dose of positivity in turbulent times. With a focus on smart, proven, and replicable solutions, we tell stories that demonstrate there are numerous reasons to feel cheerful about the world. Our content strikes a balance between optimism and rigorous journalism, offering a sense of hope for the future. As part magazine, part therapy session, and part blueprint for a better world, Reasons to be Cheerful was founded by artist and musician David Byrne. Under his nonprofit organization, Arbutus, we explore how curiosity can lead to positive change through stories of evidence-based hope. We are committed to editorial independence, diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that our website reflects these values. Our team consists of experienced journalists who accept pitches from around the world, covering a wide range of topics. Join us as we inspire curiosity and explore the possibilities of a better world.
