## Description

Rebecca Lazarou is a medicinal plant and fungi scientist, writer, speaker and herbal formulator whose work brings together medical science, ethnopharmacology, herbalism, holistic healthcare, cannabis and psychedelics. Her mission is to nurture people’s relationship with nature through natural medicines and encourage a more Earth-centred approach to health and wellbeing. She combines scientific research with an appreciation for healing traditions and the sense of wonder associated with the natural world, aiming to make these subjects more accessible and better understood.

Lazarou is pursuing a PhD in medicinal plants at Kew Gardens and UCL School of Pharmacy. She founded Laz The Plant Scientist, advises Herbal Reality on science and serves on the board of the McKenna Academy. Her research interests include medicinal plants and fungi, pharmacognosy, botanical quality control, neuroscience, ethnobotany, cannabis, psychedelics and holistic therapies. Her work spans research and academia, herbalism, writing, talks and projects, botanical quality control, and opportunities to work with her. Through these activities, she connects evidence-informed knowledge with an interest in healing, balance and human wellbeing.
