## Description

The ReBirth Space is a Birmingham-based doula service supporting African and Caribbean heritage families across the West Midlands and beyond, both in person and virtually. Its approach centers Black-bodied birthing people and draws on cultural understanding, respect for innate birth wisdom, and a commitment to compassionate, empowering care. The service aims to help families feel informed, confident, and supported through pregnancy, birth, and the transition to parenthood.

Offerings include a full doula package spanning pregnancy, birth, and postpartum; one-to-one birth preparation sessions to explore and implement a family’s birth preferences; and postnatal care focused on rest and recovery. Families can also access postpartum meal preparation featuring nourishing Ital food, as well as virtual doula support from wherever they are. The ReBirth Space presents doula care as a safe, non-medical space for discussing options, supporting informed choices, and caring for the wider family system. Its work also explores Indigenous African birthing practices and the role of nourishment in postpartum wellbeing.
