RECADE is an Erasmus+ project focused on the recovery of adults living with depression and psychosis in Europe. With mental illness affecting around 27% of Europeans annually, the project aims to support the transition towards community-based mental health care. The key principle of RECADE is a strength-based approach that prioritizes resilience and control over life's challenges, rather than solely focusing on symptoms. The project has developed several intellectual outputs to achieve its goals. These include the collection of recovery principles for adults with depression or psychosis, the creation of blended training material on the recovery process, and the exploration of lessons from the recovery journeys of individuals. Furthermore, RECADE has organized several multiplier events across different European countries to disseminate information about the project. These events have provided opportunities for professionals, patients, and caregivers to share their experiences and perspectives. Overall, RECADE is dedicated to promoting recovery-oriented systems of care, building resilience, and supporting positive lives for individuals with mental health problems in Europe.
