## Description

**ReCNTR: Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation Hub**

ReCNTR is an interdisciplinary research center at Leiden University dedicated to advancing multimodal and audiovisual research within the social sciences, humanities, and the arts. Supported by various institutes, including the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and the Academy of Creative and Performing Arts, ReCNTR recognizes the significance of the “post-textual turn” in research methodologies.

The center fosters an innovative environment where established and emerging scholars, artists, and creators collaborate to explore creative practices such as filmmaking, photography, and drawing as integral aspects of intellectual inquiry. ReCNTR serves as both a physical and intellectual space, promoting new agendas in knowledge production through the practice of making, which aligns with scientific methodologies. The center's mission is to unite diverse practitioners, facilitating rich exchanges and partnerships to enhance research outputs.

Co-directed by a team of distinguished scholars, ReCNTR invites inquiries and participation from those interested in the intersection of creativity and academic research. Join our vibrant community today.
