## Description

The Red Cross Society of China is a national humanitarian organization coordinating relief, health-related initiatives and volunteer action across China, with provincial and regional Red Cross societies and affiliated institutions. Its work spans emergency response and disaster preparedness, including deploying relief supplies, supporting rescue teams and training personnel for humanitarian operations. The organization also promotes emergency first aid through public education, skills competitions and training activities.

Its humanitarian assistance includes support for people affected by disasters and community programs focused on health and wellbeing. The Society encourages voluntary blood donation and supports the national stem cell donor registry, as well as public awareness and registration for organ and body donation. Volunteer services and youth engagement are also central to its activities, with projects and events organized nationwide.

Through its training centers, disaster-relief facilities, foundation and other affiliated bodies, the Society supports these programs and develops humanitarian capacity. It also works with international Red Cross and Red Crescent organizations and partners, providing or coordinating assistance beyond China and maintaining exchanges with humanitarian institutions worldwide.
