## Description

The Namibia Red Cross Society (NRCS) is a prominent national humanitarian organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable populations throughout Namibia. Established in 1991 by an Act of Parliament after the nation's independence, NRCS gained international recognition in 1993 as part of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). This affiliation has transformed NRCS into a vital player in humanitarian efforts both locally and globally.

NRCS focuses on delivering essential services in health and social support, disaster management, and humanitarian diplomacy. Their mission emphasizes mobilizing community volunteers to provide sustainable assistance while upholding core humanitarian values such as integrity, respect, and accountability. These principles guide NRCS as they strive to meet the needs of beneficiaries effectively and efficiently. By fostering a network of dedicated volunteers and partners, the Namibia Red Cross Society works tirelessly to ensure dignity and support for Namibia’s most vulnerable populations.
