## Description

Rede Global da Diáspora is a collaborative social networking platform connecting the Portuguese diaspora, communities in Portugal, and Portuguese businesses across more than 133 countries. Promoted by Fundação AEP, a public-interest institution active in Portugal and abroad, the project aims to promote Portugal internationally and help Portuguese small and medium-sized enterprises grow exports through stronger connections with diaspora communities.

The platform enables people to discover Portuguese communities in different locations, find institutions and associations, connect with other Portuguese people, and share interests, events, and job opportunities. It also helps users stay connected with Portugal and explore products from the country. For businesses, Rede Global da Diáspora offers access to an international network of Portuguese companies, potential contacts for entering new markets, distribution connections to support exports, and opportunities to share or pursue business and investment prospects. Individuals, companies, associations, and institutions can participate in the growing network. The project is co-financed through COMPETE 2020, Portugal 2020, and the European Union’s European Regional Development Fund.
