## Description

Red Rock Arabians is a family-owned Arabian horse farm located just outside Lytton, Iowa. Established in the 1970s and operated by Larry and Shirley Ellis and their family, the farm has spent more than fifty years raising quality Arabian horses. Its breeding program began with predominantly Polish bloodlines and now focuses mainly on Russian and Crabbet crosses, alongside selected domestic bloodlines. Red Rock Arabians seeks to bring together Arabian type, beauty, athletic ability, and a good disposition, with a particular history of breeding western-type performance horses.

The farm’s program was shaped by *PAARDEN+, purchased in 1988 and remembered as a central sire whose influence continues through his descendants. The family has also enjoyed driving its horses, including chestnut and Half-Arabian bay tobiano gelding teams. These horses took part in winter sleigh rides and summer shows and parades, as well as special hitches presented at an Open Barn event. Today, Red Rock Arabians continues breeding horses the family enjoys, with attention turning to the next generation and the grandchildren.
