## Description

Red Rock River Camp is an eco-campsite on the Lower Orange River in the Khai-Ma district of Namaqualand, Northern Cape, near the Onseepkans border post. Set among desert scenery, rugged cliffs and shady trees, the camp offers a peaceful base for nature-focused stays and river adventures. It is powered by solar energy for lighting and essential needs; heating elements and air conditioning are not available.

Camping facilities include individual sites with boma fire pits, daily hot showers, separate ladies’ and gents’ bathrooms, outdoor showers, a green lawn, a deck overlooking the river and a plunge pool. Guests can enjoy birdwatching, relax by the water or arrange access to the river. Firewood and ice are available for purchase.

The camp offers guided day rafting trips covering 10 kilometres of river, with lunch included as an option, as well as full-day fishing drifts with local fisherman guides and a riverside lunch. Multi-day adventures include Orange River Gorge and Fish Eagle rafting trips, with opportunities to experience the Ritchie-Falls.
