## Description

Red Squirrel Press is a Scotland-based independent self-funded small press that has been making a big impact in the literary world since its founding in April 2006 by Sheila Wakefield. With over 300 titles published to date, Red Squirrel Press is known for its poetry pamphlets and full collections, expertly designed and typeset by poet Gerry Cambridge. The press is proud to showcase a diverse range of voices, from emerging talents like Claire Askew and Andrew McMillan to established names such as James McGonigal and Tim Turnbull. Red Squirrel Press has even ventured beyond the English language, publishing poetry in multiple languages including Gaelic, Scots, Doric, Shaetlan, Orcadian, Irish, Danish, Italian, German, Flemish, Romanian, and Kannada. Notable achievements include three nominations for the Callum Macdonald Memorial Award and the Edge Hill Short Story Prize won by Shelley Day's debut collection. In addition to its poetry publications, Red Squirrel Press also encompasses Postbox Press, specializing in literary fiction, and Postbox Magazine, Scotland's International Short Story Magazine. All publications from Red Squirrel Press are meticulously crafted by Gerry Cambridge, except for Tim Turnbull's 'Silence and Other Stories'. You can browse their impressive selection and enjoy free postage within the UK. Follow Red Squirrel Press on Facebook and Twitter for updates on events and releases.
