# Reef Recruits - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `reefrecruits.com` ## Description Reef Recruits is a family partnership of marine scientists combining research expertise and practical marine skills to support coral reef recovery. The group focuses on helping young corals establish on damaged reefs that are struggling to recover naturally, using coral larvae as a restoration tool. Its team brings together specialist knowledge in larval ecology, reef restoration, environmental policy and marine education, alongside experience in boat work, design and fabrication, diving and marine science. Since 2023, Reef Recruits has worked with TropWATER at James Cook University to host Spawning School. This hands-on program gives Traditional Custodians of the Great Barrier Reef practical experience in raising coral larvae in a large outdoor aquarium setting. The program is supported by the Great Barrier Reef Foundation through the Cairns-Port Douglas Reef Hub. Reef Recruits also provides opportunities for participating Land and Sea Rangers to share the program with their communities. Through its restoration work and practical learning initiatives, the partnership brings scientific methods and community participation together in support of coral reefs. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idA9tLQLz1/w/1023/h/1024/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793548479406) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Mariner | #2d5ed6 | accent | | Elm | #1d7b74 | dark | | Manhattan | #f2cd8e | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
