## Description

Reel Therapy Charters is a Wilmington, North Carolina-based organization that uses offshore fishing to recognize and support wounded veterans. Its mission is to thank those who have served and offer therapeutic excursions to veterans facing the challenges of returning to civilian life or coming home between deployments. The organization provides its fishing trips to veterans free of charge, making the experience accessible without asking participants to pay.

Veterans, or people who know a veteran, can apply by submitting basic details through the website. Reel Therapy Charters runs several trips each month and works with applicants to arrange an outing. The trips center on offshore fishing and offer participants an opportunity to spend time on the water in a supportive setting.

Community donations help fund the free excursions and enable the organization to continue its service. Supporters can contribute any amount, and the website also invites visitors to get in touch with questions. Reel Therapy Charters shares updates through Instagram and maintains a presence on Facebook and Twitter.
