## Description

Refinyx is a critical materials recovery technology company focused on industrializing the refining of valuable materials from waste. Its platform processes sources such as used batteries, phosphogypsum, phosphate rock, and municipal sewage ash, helping turn difficult-to-process waste streams into marketable materials. The company’s technologies cover NMC and LFP battery recycling, rare earth element recovery, and phosphorus production. Outputs include battery-grade nickel, cobalt, lithium compounds, iron phosphate, graphite, rare earth concentrates, and phosphorus.

Refinyx offers process technology and project delivery for industrial sites. Partners provide the site, feedstock, and capital; Refinyx supplies the process flowsheet, engineering package, commissioning, and ramp-up support. Projects can be structured as technology licenses, joint ventures, or full delivery. The company reports recovery rates above 97% and product purity of 99.9%, and cites a 9,000-ton-per-year battery-grade refinery built and operated by its team at Northvolt Revolt. Refinyx acquired that venture’s recycling technology portfolio, patents, and pilot plant, and is developing projects with partners.
