## Description

Refugees Welcome Portugal is part of an international movement founded in 2015 to support the successful integration of migrants and refugees into host communities. The organisation works toward a fairer society, challenging prejudice, discrimination, misinformation, hate speech, and extremism while encouraging understanding and respect for diversity.

Its services include social support, Portuguese-language teaching, employment assistance, legal support, and mentoring. The organisation also provides resources and support networks, and runs cultural and leisure activities that bring migrant and local communities together. Its programmes include a support office for migrants, school initiatives, training, a Language, Culture and Work course, and the Game Changers 2024 project. A talent network and mentoring platform further help create opportunities for connection and integration.

Refugees Welcome Portugal invites people to contribute through donations, volunteering, or becoming members. Its website also shares articles, information about humanitarian action, and ways to support the organisation’s work, including a solidarity shop and community initiatives.
