Refuge of Light is a nonprofit organization based in Tyler, TX, dedicated to providing physical, mental, and spiritual healing to female youth aged 18-21 who have been victimized by sexual exploitation in the United States. Our mission is to offer a safe haven, redemptive rescue, and comprehensive care to these vulnerable young women through advocacy, awareness, and holistic programs. At Refuge of Light, we offer three main programs to address the unique needs of our beneficiaries.

Our specialized residential program, the Refuge Safe Home, provides a supportive environment for sexually exploited female youth. We also have a non-residential mentoring program called Brave Girl that focuses on young girls at high risk of sex trafficking in East Texas. Additionally, we conduct Traffick Signals Training classes to educate the community and emphasize prevention in the fight against child exploitation.

Since our establishment in 2008, Refuge of Light has been driven by a vision to transform broken lives into brilliant ones. We aim to equip these young girls with confidence, skills, and self-belief to create a new, healthy, and meaningful life.
