## Description

Regent University is dedicated to ensuring the safety of its students, faculty, and staff. To achieve this, they have established their own Regent University Police Department (RUPD) led by Chief of Police Chris A. Mitchell Sr. The RUPD officers are committed to protecting the campus and its surrounding areas by enforcing the law, monitoring through video surveillance, and conducting vehicle and foot patrols 24/7. These officers have the same authority as city police officers and are trained to respond to emergencies, accidents, and criminal activities. In addition to their law enforcement duties, the RUPD also provides services such as safety escorts and unlocking doors for students and staff. The department has multiple divisions including the Patrol Division, Public Safety Division, Communications Division, and Technical Support Division, which work together to ensure a high level of service. With a focus on Sacrifice, Excellence, Respect, Vigilance, Innovation, Character, and Endurance, the RUPD strives to create a safe and secure environment for the Regent University community.
