Description
Regent Park Film Festival (RPFF) is a non-profit cultural and educational media arts organization. As Toronto's longest-running, free community film festival, RPFF holds a special place in the heart of the city. Located in Canada's largest and oldest public housing neighborhood, RPFF aims to uplift and empower the community through the magic of storytelling on the big screen.
In addition to hosting an annual festival in November, RPFF offers year-round screenings, a school program, and various workshops and community events, all at no cost. They are dedicated to showcasing local and international independent works that resonate with people from all walks of life. RPFF primarily serves the Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities, individuals with low income, public housing residents, and the broader Regent Park community.
By breaking stereotypes and sharing diverse narratives, RPFF highlights that there is not just one story for any place or person. They strive to promote accessibility, equity, community, and celebration through their initiatives. Join RPFF to experience the power of film in fostering understanding, empathy, and positive change
