## Description

Reggenerada is a collaborative demonstration project focused on improving irrigation efficiency and supporting the sustainability of horticulture in Baix Llobregat, Catalonia. It aims to transfer available technology and knowledge to the agricultural sector, particularly for managing irrigation water from sources with different qualities. The initiative concentrates on artichoke cultivation and explores how sensor-based tools can help farms monitor water and make more informed irrigation decisions.

Alongside introducing continuous water-quality monitoring, Reggenerada is developing a method for sharing technology investment among horticultural farms, encouraging cooperation and associative working. Its approach combines sensor data with laboratory analyses to verify monitoring results and inform irrigation recommendations. Remote sensing is also used to track changes in crop vegetation over time.

The project works with different local stakeholders to address identified needs and shares its findings through social media, a website, knowledge-transfer events and a recommendations manual. Reggenerada is an IRTA project and is identified as an action under the 2023–2027 Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy, with co-funding noted on its website.
