## Description

Regiothek is a digital platform that makes regional food networks easier to discover and use. It connects farms and food producers with restaurants, canteens, retailers, and other commercial buyers, helping local food businesses become more visible and making regional trade simpler. Its interactive map lets consumers explore more than 3,000 participating businesses across Germany and see where food comes from and who produces it. For professional buyers and sellers, Regiothek provides regional B2B marketplaces in areas including Dortmund, Oldenburg, Passau, and Cham. Buyers can order products from multiple suppliers online, with orders consolidated for delivery and centralized billing. The platform also supports the wider infrastructure needed for local food networks, including business profiles, promotion of sales outlets, and planning regional logistics routes. Producers can create a free business profile to present their products and points of sale. Regiothek also shares stories from its network and publishes the Genießerfibel, a culinary guide featuring participating businesses. Its goal is to bring farms, food makers, retailers, and kitchens together through practical digital tools.
