R.E. House is a welcoming, inclusive community in Southend-on-Sea supporting young people and adults with learning disabilities and autism. Its aim is to help each person explore interests, develop practical skills, build friendships and take part meaningfully in their community. Support is tailored to individual preferences, with a focus on choice, growth and greater independence. The organisation’s experienced team offers personalised support in distinctive themed spaces and helps people access activities and opportunities in the local area. Experiences may include cooking, outings and performances, creating opportunities to learn, connect and enjoy time together. R.E. House also runs a School’s Out Holiday Club for students aged 14 and over, providing a fun, supportive setting and a gradual introduction to adult services. Services can be supported through personal budgets, local council commissioning and NHS Continuing Healthcare. R.E. House works with Vibrance and We Are Purple to help people make the most of their budgets.
