## Description

Shebin John is a smart-contract security engineer and researcher based in Bengaluru, India, and a Senior Research Engineer at Safe. His work focuses on smart-account infrastructure, transaction security, formal verification and contract audits. At Safe, he has developed transaction guards including Guardrail, Fiducia and the Policy Engine, and contributed to the Safe core contracts, ERC-4337 and passkey modules, and the SAFE token locking contract.

For Safenet, John wrote the Ethereum mainnet staking contract and the Safenet Guard, which checks onchain attestations to Safe transactions. He uses Certora formal verification to specify and verify contract behavior, and coordinates third-party security audits. His selected work also includes reducing the Safe singleton’s deployed bytecode and resolving audit findings in the v1.5.0 release.

Before joining Safe, John worked as a smart-contract auditor at Nethermind, completing more than 15 Solidity and Cairo audits. He also developed production DeFi contracts at Sovryn and wrote and audited contracts at Kleros.
