## Description

The Renewable Energy Institute is a professional education and knowledge-sharing organisation that has promoted best practice in renewable energy and energy efficiency since 1975. Describing itself as the only Renewable Energy Institute in the Western Hemisphere, it works with leading universities, European governments and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to support industry learning, research and collaboration.

The Institute offers online and in-person training, expert certificates, bespoke and group programmes, and its Accredited Master in Renewable Energy Award. Successful candidates on approved courses can earn the internationally recognised Galileo Master Certificate (GMC), with an online or virtual classroom exam option. Its training covers areas including renewable energy management and finance, artificial intelligence, consultancy and electric vehicles. Courses are delivered within an ISO 9001-certified quality management framework, with CPD accreditation.

Beyond training, the Institute convenes conferences, contributes to European projects, publishes research with UNEP and partners, and provides membership and energy-sector resources. It also reports training more than 5,000 participants annually and offers a programme of courses across 21 universities.
